Service Description

Has your dog been destroying the house while you've been away? Are you getting noise complaints from your neighbours because your dog has been barking, whining or howling all day long? It might be Separation Anxiety! Separation Anxiety or Isolation Distress is common behaviour problem in our canine friends but did you know that separation related behaviours like barking, pacing, destruction, urinating ect. isn't always Separation Anxiety? It's time to understand your canine and book in an online Separation Anxiety Initial Consultation with Monika. Why online? Because these consultations require the dog to behave as they normally would every day. Introducing a new person into the home changes the environment and doesn't give an accurate reading of baseline behaviour. This 90 minute consultation includes: - Gathering your dog's behaviour history - A maximum 30 minute alone time assessment where your dog will be observed over video while you're out of the house and out of view of the dog. This establishes a baseline of how long your dog can cope with being alone (If your dog becomes too distressed, the guardians will be asked to come back to the house) - Detailed behaviour analysis of your dog while they are home alone - Reported findings based on the behaviour data collected - learn about whether your dog's behaviour is separation anxiety or not! - Recommendations to address the behaviours observed and options for ongoing support
